These 3-point felling dogs (bumper spikes) were co-designed and tested by Westcoast Saw™ customers and professional arborists and loggers. With a longer center dog that lines up with the chain kerf, this design offers better articulation and a smoother, more effortless cut. Made in the USA of heat-treated high-strength alloy steel.
Note: You must run a Stihl chain catcher on any dual felling dog setup to add additional strength and support *Without running a chain catcher on these felling dogs, the stress may cause the outside dog to fracture. Westcoast saw only guarantee there felling dogs if you run the chain catcher.
Spike sets will include Chain Catcher where pictured. Bolt kits and additional chain catchers are also sold separately.
545 & 550XP will require drilling holes for outer spike installation
550XP & 545 spikes will only fit MK2 models due to slight changes from the MK1 models. Please keep this in mind when purchasing.
565,572,585 & 592 will require west coast style clutch cover for outer spike. If stock cover is fitted to your machine you will need the captive type spike set for the 565 & 572, please see listings and look for set noted "Captive Bar Nut Cover" this refers to cover as shown bellow.
